Suited for use in medical devices that deliver fluids to patients’ circulatory systems, an air-in-line sensor provides accurate detection of the presence of air bubbles. Based on proven ultrasonic piezoceramic technology, the sensors can be used with 4-mm-diam PVC or silicone tubing and can be mounted in any orientation.

 

Air bubbles as small as 1-mm-diam can be detected. Each sensor operates with a nominal resonant frequency of 2.45 MHz and is capable of a receive sensitivity of 30 dB down from the drive. The sensors can be supplied individually, or as part of a custom system.
